Jessi walked into the classroom smiling. Todays lesson was bound to be a hit. Walking over to the window Jessi smiled as she saw the weather. Bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky. Perfect. She thought with another grin.
Jessi made her way back to the front of the room to her desk. Seeing it was cluttered with lesson plans she decided to give up on a desk - it created a physical barrier to the class and also gave her another excuse to clutter something! So, with a flick of her wand, Jessi made the desk vanish and in its place sat a comfy arm chair. Deciding it was unfair for her to have an armchair while the students were at hard wooden chairs, she flicked her wand again and there appeared a long sofa that went around the entire room leaving space in the middle for students to perform when a lesson like that arose.
Turning her mind back to the lesson, Jessi turned once again to the board. Pondering on how to phrase the lesson, Jessi took a moment before continuing. "Aha!" She said, triumphantly. And wrote on the board.
LESSON 2: Ensnare the Senses
Today's lesson is all about drawing the audience into your poem, play, picture, etcetera. In order to do this you must use the 5 senses. Touch, Taste, Smell, Sight and Hearing. Today we will look at how this is done.
Starter: Think of one reason why you enjoy your chosen media(s) (art, drama or creative writing).
Satisfied with her work, Jessi sat down in her comfy chair. Just as she was settling however, the sound of the door opening made her look up.
