The First Time on the Platform

Stepping through the cloudy and choking steam, Jessica Rivers - the new headmistress at Hogwarts - could see two people standing on the platform. Neither had parent with them so Jessi decided to call to them both to join up. Why not start their first days by gaining them friendships? "Hey! You two! Over here!" Glad their was nobody else around to get confused, Jessi waited for them to come over and join her.

Rosalie heared someone calling her. She turned to see the head mistress. There was another girl too. She had chocolate brown hair that came down to the bottom of her ribs. Her eyes were a startling blue and she had fair skin. Rosalie could tell that she was someone who was eaisly embarresed as her cheeks were a pale pink. Rosalie never showed if she was embaressed. Not if she could help it atleast.

"I'm Rosalie. Are you a teacher then? I am. I teach history of magic. That old ghost finally left." She smiled at her.

Seeing the ladys talking to each other was very encouraging. Jess could see more and more students arriving by the minute and wondered if she should ask the girls to help arrange them. "Hey, um would you mind helping to get all the students on the train? Only we are all leaving soon!"

"How about rather than you carrying bags, what if you just usher the students on? Tell them to take their own bags!" Jess smiled. "Thanks for this!"

"No, Penny come back!" called Emily chasing after her pet kitten who was running away all over the place. She tried to reach down and pick her up, but the cat just ran away further. Without looking where she was going she bumped right into someone.

"My cat!" she yelped, before she started running after Penny again who was dangerusly close to the gap between the train and the platform.

Hale Cork walked onto the platform. It was warm, smoky and very busy. All of the students were getting ready to board the hogwarts express and all of them were full of excitement - Hale included. It was her first ever time on the platform - her first time at hogwarts too - and she could not remember a happier time. Looking around she could see a large group of what looked like teachers standing together talking. A few girls were standing nearby too. Deciding it would be less daunting to talk to the students instead of the teachers, she walked over to the girls and introduced herself. "Hi, Im Hale, Hale Cork. Its my first time here, what year are you lot in?" Managing a small smile, Hale waited for the reply.

Emily just managed to grab Penny before she fell through the gap. Breathless she scolded her kitten. "Don't... ever... do that... again!" she said croos and worried at the same time.

Waiting for the two girls to answer, Hale looked around. She could see a girl doing what looked like scolding a kitten. Wondering what it was all about, she called over to the girl. "Hey! Its Just a kitten! What are you having a go at it for?" Genuinly concerned for the cats wellbeing, Hale settled waiting for a reply with a concerned look on her face. Why was that girl having a go at the kitten? Looking again at the girl she say a look of worriedness on her face also. She had not really been looking at the girls face and was suprised to see the look. Suddenly putting two and two together Hale realised that the girl had been infact rescuing the kitten and not simply having a go at it. Truly sorry, Hale told the girls she was standing with that she would be back soon and walked over to the girl. "I am so sorry!" Hale said emphasising the word sorry to show she really ment it. "I did not realise you were rescuing the cat! Is she yours?" Managing a weak smile Hale cursed herself internaly. How could she of been so stupid? Why would a girl be standing cursing a lonley kitten for no reason? How stupid could Hale of been?

"That's ok." replied Emily upon seeing her, cuddling her dear Penny close. "I've only had her a few weeks." she said petting her. "I never though she'd be this much troubble!"

"Ohhh." said Emily in awe. "You like guessing games too? I'm Emily." she smiled and held out her hand.

"Aww that's a shame. I like telling the future it's fascinating." she smiled and walked over to wear her trunk and pet carrying case were. "You won't be able to get into troubble in there." she said to her kitten while placing her in the case.

Jessi looked around. Everything was starting to pick up on the platform, more students were arriving by the minute and the train would be leaving soon so the students would need to hurry up.
Looking at the two other teachers she had with her, she heard Rosalie say she would be happy to help. "Thanks." Jessi said smiling.

Emily dragged her trunk back over to Mai. "I guess we'd better get on the train before all the compartments are taken." she said, hoping to get a space.
