Suply teacher, intro to astronomy

Rosalie entered the classroom to be met by a softly glowing cealing. As she looked up at it, she discovered that it was enchanted so it showed all the stars in the northern hemisphere. She experemented a bit by saying "show me the southern hemisphere". The veiw changed so suddenly Rosalie found her head wirling. Above her she could now see the southern hemisphere. It was amazing! She couldn't let her self be distracted. She tore her eyes from the view and waved her wand to light the glowing orbs hanging around the sides of the room. She then sat on a chair behind the desk and waited.

"Hello, Miss."Mai came into the room and put down her bag she sat down on one of the special beenbag chairs and layed back so she could see th stars on the cealling. "Draco, the dragon." The cealling changed immediately so the very center of the cealling showed that constalation.

Sarah-Rose entered nervously, this was her first lesson and she still didn't know many people here. She relaxed a little when she saw Mai, the girl who had been in her Care of Magical Creatures class, and she was the girl who'd welcomed her in the Gryffindor Common Room. 'Um, hi.' Sarah said quietly to both the teacher and to Mai.

Hale walked into the room, not quite believing her luck for a subject. She had always loved the thought of Astronomy, even at her muggle school before she had known she was a Witch she had wanted to study Astronomy. Now, here was her chance and all she could do was stand there in awe. Suddenly, a cough from a student pulled her out of her trance.

"S..s..sorry," She stuttered quietly, and went over to see Mai sitting on a beanbag made especially by the Head Teacher (who was very good with transfiguration) for this subject. As Hale sat, she saw another girl who had entered the room just before her standing unsure in the doorway. "Hey Mai," Hale muttered to her friend, then a little louder to the girl in the doorway, "Hiya, why don't you sit over here?". She tried not to sound intimidating, and hoped to come across as friendly.

The room was not large and so Hale did not have to raise her voice much and so said, "I'm Hale, what's your name?"

"Thats Sarah-Rose. Shes in my house. Come on, come sit here." She called out to the Sarah-Rose and beaconed her over. She returned her attention to the constalation on the cealling and was startled when the teacher spoke.

"Hello class. Not everyones here yet but i'm dying to tell you about that constalation. Does anyone know the fairy story?" No one in the class said anything so she continued. "Draco was a Hebridean Black. He lived in the hills by a city, run by a wussy wizard. The wizard was scared of the Dragon beyond belife. he often sent people up, into the hills to keep the Dragon full and away from him and his kingdom. One day an evil wizard went to the king and persuaded him to stop giving sacarafices. The king did as he said and sent no one there for a week. The evil wizard then continued to persuade the king that the dragon was weak and could be beaten. The king took him army into the hills to find the dragon and kill it. The king and his army were eaten. The evil wizard took over the kingdom but, when it got hungry again, it came to the city and ate the evil king. The End. This story was to trick children into staying away from dragons." Rosalie finnished the fairy story grimly. Of cource that had never happened. She couldnt believe the storys people made up about constallations but they were always interesting to tell the class.

Sarah-Rose smiled over at Mai and Hale. She wandered over to them and sat on Mai's other side on a beanbag. She turned to the teacher as she began to tell the story of the constallation on the ceiling. As she listened Sarah-Rose watched the constallation. 'Do all the constallations have stories like that?' She asked intrigued.

"Some constallations are newer and dont have stories behind them, at least not wizard ones, but most do, yes." Rosalie swept a lock of her hair behind her ear and riffled through the papers on her desk. "Here, this has some of the different stories for the main constalations. pass them round untill every one has a sheet."

Calum entered the room, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. "Um... sorry, im a bit late." He went and sat down on a beenbag in between Mai and Hale. He ker-flumped down into the chair and stiffled a yawn.

It wasn't in Mai's nature not to like people but she couldn't help it when it came to Rosalie, that Demetri guy, and Jason. They all made her feel like screeming that they should stop being so horrible and live a little. "Thanks" She muttered darkly as somone passed a sheet to her.

Calum picked up on Mai's bad mood and the only conclusion he could come to was the slytherin boy and girl in the classroom. "Are you Ok?" He wispered under is breath.
